Gather Together: Survivors Speak Out was a release party of the 7th edition of “Purple Poetry Book,” edited by TurnAround Inc, in collaboration with Gather Together. Visitors witnessed survivors sharing poetry and performances during this celebration of survival. The performance closed a performance and ritual created with Wombwork Productions, Inc.
In the lead up to the release event, Gather Together co-hosted a call for poetry and art by survivors for TurnAround, Inc’s 7th annual Purple Poetry Book. The collective organized a series of poetry workshops in our studio at Motor House in Baltimore, MD.
